Dr Maria Maddalena Giungi obtained her doctoral degree in Public Law from University of Milan after having defended a thesis entitled "Strengthening fundamental rights in the EU: the role of the Fundamental Rights Agency of the European Union". Dr Giungi is a Postdoctoral Fellow of the Faculty of Political Science at Princeton University. Her research interests embrace Constitutional Law, European Human Rights Law, and Medical Law with a specific interest in surrogacy practice.
