Their research focuses on the Mexico-USA borderlands, particularly the regions of the Sonoran and Mojave deserts. Interviews with local residents, research in historical archives, collaboration with photographers, and traveling and living in the Arizona-Sonora-California-Baja California borderlands informs their work.
